Dermal Filler Treatments
Over time our skin loses moisture and elasticity and our faces lose volume so that we inevitably see lines, wrinkles and creases developing.
The face loses its youthful look as the skin begins to sag. Dermal fillers can help to correct this, by restoring the lost volume and smoothing out the smaller lines and wrinkles. This can improve the texture and appearance of your skin and restore a more youthful look.
Hyaluronic Acid is a sugar that is naturally present in the connective tissue of our skin and along with collagen forms the building blocks of healthy tissues keeping the skin smooth and supple. As we age, the levels in the skin decrease and we lose moisture, creating lines and wrinkles.
Dermal fillers are an injectable form of bio-degradable Hyaluronic Acid specifically developed for facial contouring. When injected with a very fine needle into a crease line, the gels create volume under the wrinkles, lifting up and smoothing out the lines on the surface of the skin.
There are many different types of dermal fillers on the market today but we only use those that have demonstrated predictable long term results and have a reliable safety record.
Dermal fillers break down naturally over time lasting on average 6-12 months. They can be used alone or as part of a more comprehensive treatment plan alongside botulinum toxin treatment.
